I have always been the "proactive" one with my contacts -- as a result, I have been fortunate to have staff follow me to multiple firms. But today it seems most everyone is only responding when they need something and the days of bi-directional support are gone. Let us hope that the economics improve and camaraderie and compassion return to the business world.
